The Power of Trouble - Designed by a special little girl who says "Where there's Trouble, there's hope!"
"TROUBLE" was born in Marblehead, Massachusetts to the Duncan family one cold winter's night in January, 2006.
Kendra Duncan, who is twelve years old, decided that many people experience difficult times ... maybe they've lost a loved one, or are moving to a new place or are simply feeling a little bit afraid.
She had an idea for a simple little "guardian angel" dog to make kids and adults alike feel better ... she sat down, made a wonderful drawing and promptly named this dog "Trouble".
Trouble has been given a very special assisgnment … to inspire and support those having tough times. “Trouble” already has become an international mascot … helping people to “be tough” and take care of themselves. Because “Where There’s Trouble...There’s Hope”.
Kendra has designed some jewelry and then a wonderful plush dog as well as a children's book which tells "Trouble's" story of rescue and hope. "Trouble" is abandoned on the streets and then rescued by a kindly woman named "Nonnie", based on Kendra's own grandmother, who had passed away.
"Trouble" is now helping rescue dogs by donating a portion of proceeds from each sale to dog rescue as well as children's charities.
Presently, "Trouble" is working with the SPCA of TN, Patriot Lab Rescue in New England, and the Northeast Animal Shelter in Massachusetts. Kendra actually adopted a Sato, which is a Puerto Rican street dog from the Northeast Animal Shelter, named him Luigi, and he is now a star character in her children's book.
Slowly but surely, "Trouble" is starting a quiet revolution ... people helping people. People purchase a "Trouble" for someone in need ... who in turn, passes "Trouble" along to someone else who needs him ... and each purchase allows "Trouble" to donate to a special charity to then help an animal or a child.
It's all about the "Power of Trouble". And a wonderful little girl who started it all because she wanted to make a difference.
